Dry Rot Repair & Staircase Waterproofing
This project focused on restoring and protecting a staircase with an elastomeric coating while addressing structural issues caused by dry rot.
Our process began with a thorough assessment, which revealed significant dry rot in the existing stairs and surrounding boards. To ensure long-term durability, we removed the damaged components and built a brand-new staircase, replacing affected boards within the enclosed area underneath.
Once the new structure was in place, we applied a high-performance elastomeric coating to safeguard the staircase against moisture and wear. To complete the transformation, we repainted all surrounding boards, including those on the sides and behind the staircase, creating a smooth, cohesive finish.
The result is a fully restored and reinforced staircase with enhanced protection and a fresh, polished appearance.
